Pitseolak Qimirpik | Solo exhibition

Born in 1986, Pitseolak Qimirpik hails from Kinngait (Cape Dorset). His work stands out for its blend of pop-culture symbols and traditional narratives specific to his origins. His aesthetic seamlessly integrates with the contemporary art scene while maintaining strong connections to his ancestral roots.

Since the age of thirteen, Qimirpik has showcased his talents through impeccable craftsmanship and a keen awareness of contemporary signifiers. His creations, ranging from musk oxen to drum dancers and dancing walruses, often incorporate modern elements.
